Located at the foot of the Dam, on the downstream side, KGL has continued to develop the 12MW plant. The Plant is designed to make use of the 11m3 environmental release from the dam. It is anticipated that by the end of the first quarter of 2024, the plant will be commercially available.
As mandated by the Board, KGL is embarking on the Green City Development Project that will see more than 9000 hectares of land transformed into a modern city complete with a self-sustaining business ecosystem. The project is currently at the conceptual level.
